WWW Wednesday #7

Dear Book Reader,

Okay, I know I’m posting this on a Thursday and I actually sat down to do it yesterday…I just didn’t.  :/  But, here we are with a delayed WWW Wednesday!

WWW_Wednesdays4

WWW Wednesdays is hosted over at Should Be Reading!
To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…

• What are you currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?

1. I’m currently reading “The Treatment” by Suzanne Young.

2. I recently finished reading “Zoe Letting Go” by Nora Price and “Incarnate” by Jodi Meadows.

3. Like usual, I’m not sure what I’m going to be reading next.  I need to finish up the Gone series, so may read the last three of those.

Leave your answers to these questions in the comments!

Teaser Tuesday #7

Dear Book Reader,

Hope your Tuesday went well!  It was a rainy day here and I spent a lot of time driving, mostly in massive amounts of traffic.  Here are my teasers for this week from a book I just recently finished and loved!

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2)  sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

I didn’t open the box.  To open it would be a form of surrender, and I was not ready to surrender.

~pg. 63, “Zoe Letting Go” by Nora Price

Our mistakes don’t have to be failures.

~pg. 196, “Zoe Letting Go” by Nora Price

Check It Out Fridays #11

Dear Book Reader,

Well, I’m getting more books than I have time to read right now and it’s kind of overwhelming!  I’m really having to pick and choose what I read.  I’m also trying to be good about not checking out “first timers”, but failing at that…miserably.  I seriously need a couple of days when nothing needs to be done and I can curl up on the couch or in a chair and just read.  My library’s summer reading program started almost two weeks ago, so I am trying to read more instead of doing other things.  Like finding more books on Goodreads.

First Time Check Out:

  • Rebel Belle by Rachel Hawkins (2nd copy)
  • Days of Blood and Starlight by Laini Taylor
  • Zoe Letting Go by Nora Price
  • Newtown: An American Tragedy by Matthew Lysiak
  • The Here And Now by Ann Brashares
  • Great by Sara Benincasa
  • The Treatment by Suzanne Young
  • Biggest Flirts by Jennifer Echols

Checked Out Again:

  • Liv, Forever by Amy Talkington
  • Alice In Zombieland by Gena Showalter
  • The Sound Of Letting Go by Stasia Ward Kehoe
  • Something Real by Heather Demetrios
  • Prisoner of Night And Fog by Anne Blankman (accidentally returned early)
  • Insanity by Susan Vaught

Renewed Again:

  • The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin
  • The Other Countess by Eve Edwards
  • The Vicious Deep by Zoraida Cordova
  • The Savage Blue by Zoraida Cordova
  • The Ward by Jordana Frankel
  • Starry Nights by Daisy Whitney
  • Crewel by Gennifer Albin
  • Altered by Gennifer Albin
  • Her Dark Curiosity by Megan Shepherd

Returned For Keeps:

  • Don’t Look Back by Jennifer L. Armentrout
  • A Death-Struck Year by Makiia Lucier

So. Many. Books.  Not enough hours!  Two got returned this week for library keeps, which is good.  One I had to return because someone had it on hold, but I’m sure I’ll have it checked out again before we know it.  A hundred points for anyone who can figure out what book it was.

Teaser Tuesdays #6

Dear Book Reader,

Another Teaser Tuesday for you and it’s from the same book as last week.  I’m not getting as much time as usual to read lately, so I may have to start spacing out Teaser Tuesdays or use the same book two weeks in a row.

A sense of familiarity crept over me and, with it, a twinge of guilt, but I shook it off in favor of just enjoying the moment.

What teasers do you have to share for today?
